I became a vegetarian for a number of reasons. I don’t really like red meat so it was an easy progression. Health purposes. Environmental reasons. Ethical reasons mainly based around the way animals are killed for manufacturing. I could go on for ages about this topic but I would rather you watch these extremely well researched documentaries I have listed below, and make your own decisions. I try to be vegan but have an obsession with chocolate and cheese and I know that denying myself these things completely just makes me cranky when the whole point of Veganism/Vegetarianism for me in the first place was to be a better person. When I travel sometimes I do end up eating meat as some countries just don’t get the vego thing or it’s just too hard when I’m in groups or on a budget, but I try not to beat myself up about it. I don’t judge people for the way they live their life and admire anyone who can make any changes, big or small, to make the world a better and more sustainable place.
